GUS AND ODESSA SMITH
Parent's of Kemba Smith

Gus and Odessa Smith, parents of Kemba Smith, are native Virginias. They met in college, became sweethearts and have been married for 56 years. They were reared by loving parents with values rooted in the Baptist church.

They attended Norfolk State University/Virginia State University. Gus studied accounting and served in the US Army. He is an accountant and is the owner of Financial Services, a tax and accounting business. Odessa pursued degrees in business education/secondary supervision and pledged Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority while in undergraduate school. She is a retired high school teacher and currently serves as a reading tutor at a local high school.

Residing in Mechanicsville, Virginia, Gus and Odessa are active members of St. Peter Baptist Church. Gus enjoys golfing in his leisure time while Odessa enjoys traveling to new shopping malls.

They are the proud grandparents of two grandchildren; Phoenix and Armani. They beam with pride at their accomplishments.
