A Virtual Film Screening and Q&A with MPI Filmmaker |
|
Join us next Wednesday, July 20, at 3:00 p.m. (ET) for a few midweek laughs during our next Short Break with MPI featuring “Go Vegan,” the second episode of the MPI Original comedy series We’re Doing Good. This 30-minute virtual event includes an exclusive first look at one episode of the series (pre-release!) and a behind-the-scenes conversation with MPI filmmaker Elvira Ibragimova and MPI’s senior vice president and producer of the series Lana Link.
The series, which premiered in March at the South by Southwest (SXSW) Film Festival and screened at SeriesFest where it won Best Performance in a Digital Series and the Caz Matthews Fund prize, follows a couple who are trying to be "good people"—or at least better people. Their unsuccessful efforts to make the world a better place, from filming a viral vegan cheese eating challenge to failing to find a compost facility while frozen garbage melts in their backseat, don’t help the world but do help them—learn a lot about their relationship.
To attend you must register online 30 minutes prior to the event. If you are unable to join us during the live event at 3:00 p.m. (ET), your registration will also give you 24 hours of on-demand access to the film and the recorded Q&A once the livestream has concluded.
Register today by clicking below, and while you are at it, be sure to share this invitation with friends and family by forwarding this email or posting to your social media. |

The MPI Original Series We’re Doing Good stars Emily Pendergast (Veep) and Jonathan Braylock (Astronomy Club) who, after a move to Los Angeles, vow to be one of "those couples"—the ones you see buying organic soap, donating to the correct charities, posting flawless volunteer selfies; the ones who are always making the world a better place. However, despite their best efforts, they fail humorously and spectacularly at every turn often harming the very causes they are trying to help.
We’re Doing Good was written and directed by MPI filmmaker Elvira Ibragimova, who developed the concept in MPI’s Comedy Workshop. |
